Pronoun Showdown 7 at Green Room 42

One thing that can absolutely be made clear about Pronoun Showdown, which recently had its seventh iteration at Green Room 42, is that Abby DePhillips and Kimberly Jenna Simon absolutely know how to put on a show. And if the other night's show says anything, it is that Pronoun Showdown is loved by many, and won't be going away any time soon.

From rising Broadway stars like Renée Rapp and Antonio Cipriano, to those who have been seen more frequently on the New York stage such as Amanda Jane Cooper, Bradley Gibson, and Ryan McCarten; every person who stood on the stage skillfully took the switched pronouns in their stride for songs that could be both happy and funny, or even sad.

With music director Benjamin Rauhala on the piano, the energy in the room was electric. With a mix of dedicated Pronoun Showdown fans, and those who were experiencing it for the first time, it was a wonderful place to be on a Tuesday evening.

And if you missed the most recent edition of Pronoun Showdown, don't worry. It's not going anywhere! It will make its West Coast debut in San Francisco next month and I'm sure it will find its way back to New York, whatever venue that may be, soon as well.
