Blue Hill Troupe: The Gondoliers

Eleanore Jenks

On April 13, the Blue Hill Troupe, Ltd. concluded their run of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers. For many years now, the Troupe has been performing both well loved Gilbert and Sullivan shows, and other classic musicals in support of different organizations.

Performed by volunteers, all of whom are incredibly dedicated to the shows of the Troupe, the shows take on a brilliant life in their hands. Cast members such as Win Rutherford, Rich Miller, Chazmond J. Peacock, Suzanne R. Taylor, David Pasteelnick, and more create the energy and life that exudes from the stage.

The Blue Hill Troupe has introduced many new audiences to Gilbert and Sullivan, as well as many other shows like The Boy Friend, Once Upon a Matress, and City of Angels, just to name a few. Great credit is due for the work they do to create shows that leave everyone with a smile on their face when it’s over.

So, truly believe it when I say that I will be there for the Troupe’s fall show later this year, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and their spring show, Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Sorcerer. And if you choose to pay the Troupe a visit for those shows, I know you will leave happier because of what was on stage and the work that the Troupe does.
