Almost 10 years later to the date, there is now a sequel to Mamma Mia, the popular movie that was based on the even more popular musical. Reuniting the original cast, along with some new faces, this is a feel good movie that could put a smile on anyone's face.
Among the new additions to the cast are Lily James as Young Donna, Jessica Keenan Wynn as Young Tanya, Alexa Davies as Young Rosie, Jeremy Irvine as Young Sam, Hugh Skinner as Young Harry, and Josh Dylan as Young Bill. They are present in the flashbacks that show Donna finding her way to the island of Kalokairi, meeting each of Sophie's potential fathers along the way.
In present day, Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), Sky (Dominic Cooper), Sam (Pierce Brosnan), Harry (Colin Firth), Bill (Stellan Skarsgard), Tanya (Christine Baranski), and Rosie (Julie Walters) are all dealing with loss as Sophie and Sam work to reopen the hotel and fulfill Donna's (Meryl Streep) dream. We also meet Donna's mother Ruby (Cher) who comes to the island in order to commit to being a "grandmother".
Just as fun and lighthearted as the first one, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! will make you smile, laugh, and dance in your seat. Featuring favorites from the original film like "Mamma Mia", "Dancing Queen", and "Super Trouper", it also has some other fun songs like "Fernando", "When I Kissed the Teacher", and "Angel Eyes". If you are a fan of the original movie, or of the musical, there is no doubt that you will love this movie. And even if you're not, you may still find something in it that you could love.
