More Shows Coming This Season

As shows close and theaters open up, more shows plan their Broadway bows. Here's an update to what's coming to the Great White Way soon!

1984, Marvin's Room, The Terms of My Surrender, and Prince of Broadway have already opened this season! While Marvin's Room was a limited engagement and has since closed, Roundabout Theater Company will be bringing more shows to the American Airlines Theater very soon.

Time and the Conways is currently in previews at the American Airlines Theatre. The second of Roundabout's shows this season it will officially open on October 10th. Keep your eye out for a review of this one, I'm seeing it very soon!

October is filled with some great shows with Springsteen on Broadway, M. Butterfly, Junk, The Band's Visit, and Latin History for Morons all beginning previews. I've already got my ticket for The Band's Visit so keep your eyes peeled in October for my review.

November brings with it Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower which will fill the Booth Theatre that has been empty for some time now. It was recently announced that Phillipa Soo would be joining Uma Thurman as she makes her Broadway debut in The Parisian Woman, which will certainly be something not to miss. In addition, November will welcome Once on this Island, SpongeBob Sqaurepants, and The Children to the season. I don't know about anyone else, but I can't wait to be hearing "Waiting For Life" sung on a Broadway stage again!

December brings with it the start of previews for Farinelli and the King and will play a limited run through March. And in February, there will be some of the most exciting shows of the season arriving. The Minutes, Escape to Margaritaville, Frozen, Angels in America, Three Tall Women, and Carousel will all start previews! My Carousel ticket is already booked, and I'm genuinely curious as to how the Imperial will go back to being a regular theater.

March is also filled with some exciting shows as Mean Girls, My Fair Lady, Children of a Lesser God, The Iceman Cometh, Travesties, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts 1 and 2 all start previews.

While those are currently the only shows coming to Broadway before Tony season, several shows are set for afterwards. Gettin' The Band Back Together, King Kong, and To Kill a Mockingbird are set for starting dates in July 2018, Fall 2018, and December 2018 respectively.
