Throughout the month of July, we will be picking one member of a Broadway show and writing a short piece about them for our performer of the week. This week, we're featuring Betsy Wolfe who is currently in Waitress.
Wolfe made her debut on Broadway as an ensemble member in the 2005 production of A Wonderful Life before originating the role of Katheryn Brawner in the 2007 production of 110 in the Shade. In 2010, she originated the role of Mennonette in Everyday Rapture. She also originated the parts of Rosa Bud/Miss Deidre Peregrine in 2012's The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She then originated the role of Ellen in the 2014 production of Bullets Over Broadway. In the past 2016-2017 season, she played Cordelia in the limited run of Falsettos alongside Tracie Thomas and Stephanie J. Block. Currently, she is the third Jenna in Sara Bareilles' Waitress taking over the part from the songwriter after her ten week run in the show.
